Neiman Marcus Children's Christmas Day Parade 2008

Held on December 6, 2008 at 10am -11am, this annual Christmas extravaganza is perennially busy with holiday floats and activities. Downtown comes alive with Christmas spirit and cheer. Crowds typically reach around 350,000. The parade consistently shines as one of the best events in the country.

Miss Dallas 2009 Pageant

For 2009, the Miss Dallas and Miss Teen Dallas pageants was held in conjunction with the Miss Longview and Miss Teen Longview pageants. Although titles for both franchises were awarded in a single event, the winners work only with the directors/organizations for the respective title they won.

The 2009 Miss Longview and Miss Teen Longview pageants was held October 25-26, 2008 at Plano Senior High School.
